Very fun surf on tap Friday through the weekend. Heavy S winds today have increased seas into the 6′ range. A cold front will pass overnight yielding offshore (NW) winds and clean 4-5′ surf from the SE early Friday. Should be really fun with top spots seeing shoulder-head high+ surf and possibly some tubes…..seas will gradually ease throughout the day but the good news is that it won’t go flat. There is an area of disturbance SE of Bermuda that will form into a low and will provide fun 3′ surf from the ESE Saturday and Sunday. Light winds and nice weather will make for a fun weekend altogether. After that, we should all be watching Tropical Storm Sam, which is currently well E of the Windward Islands. Sam is predicted to become a major hurricane over the next few days and the track looks perfect to give us surf late next week! Stay tuned.
Water is still plenty warm at around 72 so maybe a top or springsuit.
