Next shot of rideable surf coming Friday/Saturday. A weak low will form off the Hatteras coast Thursday and slowly drift north. As the low moves up, seas will build into the 4′ range from the SE by midday Friday. Due to the proximity of the low, we will see NNE winds at around 15knots all day Friday so conditions won’t be perfect, but definitely rideable. Expect clean conditions Saturday morning with fun little 2-3′ leftovers early, with onshore winds picking up as the day goes. After that the models are showing a flat spell for the following week. I will be keeping my eyes on potential sub-tropical storm developing in the mid Atlantic (around 9/26). Stay tuned.
Water is still plenty warm at around 72 so maybe a top or springsuit.
